Meet Greg & Jenn 

Gregory & Jennifer Evans have been married for 29 years. They have 6 adult children, Tony,
Greg Jr., Quincy, Jerrolda, Jerracius, and Grenecia as well as 12 grandchildren. Both are
natives of Greenville, MS, and they currently reside there. By profession, Greg is a public
servant and Jen is a social worker. They attend and serve in various areas of ministry at The
Way Church. Greg enjoys singing and anything else that involves music; Jen enjoys shopping
and traveling. Both enjoy family time and regularly host family and holiday events. 

Our Beginning

Greg & Jenn met during their high school years. Greg remembers meeting Jenn near his mom’s
house but somehow Jen remembers meeting Greg for the first time at the park. Either way,
neither expected anything more than a platonic friendship. Greg somehow was immediately
turned off by the white shoes Jenn frequently wore. He described the shoes as “terrible.” Jenn was
convinced Greg was not her ideal type of guy, describing him as “not my cup of tea.” They did
agree to go to prom together. The two also stayed up all night talking with Tony (who was
almost 2 years old at the time) sitting with them the entire night as well. Greg and Tony instantly
bonded and he quickly became “their son.” After several twists and turns, they were eventually

led down a path that resulted in marriage and 5 more children. 

Our Process 

The path before and after marriage has seen many obstacles, but with prayer, determination,
and much laughter, this couple has seen even more victory and wins in their lives, one major
victory being 29 years of marriage. These 29 years have been a true reflection of their marriage
vows…literally. They have seen it all, broke and financially stable, healthy and sick, family births
and family deaths, children excelling in life and children enduring through the challenges of life,
and even 2 house fires, one in which they lost everything. There is so much more, a lot of which
they share in their podcast; through it all, two things have remained constant…they are
committed to putting God first in their lives and their marriage, and they are still each other’s

best friend. 

Emerging Together 

The Evans household has always had an open door policy to family, friends,  acquaintances,
and sometimes even strangers. Over the years Greg & Jenn have been able to give wisdom
based on their experiences in love and marriage, with money, with children, with extended
family relationships, in ministry, and so many other areas. These two truly love supporting
others. It’s their God given grace to provide a safe space physically, spiritually, and emotionally
for so many. God  gave them a vision to do more in a practical way that would offer guidance to
couples as well as families by way of Emerge with Greg Jenn. Emerge launched its first
podcast episode in January 2022. Greg & Jenn invite you to join this journey as Emerge grows
